In game played February 5th the Ravens lost their first game of the season to Southfield A&T 60-47. The game was played in front of a packed gymnasium that had one of the best atmosphere’s for a basketball game that the Charles H. Jones gymnasium has seen in a long time. The Ravens came up short against a very talented A&T team ranked #1 in the state in many polls.
Sophomore Sarah Soraghan led the team with 13 points, 5 assists and 5 steals. Nila Coney and Samantha Potter each added 9 points. Jessica Adams added 8 points and Anna Ross had 7.
The Ravens are now 12-1 overall and 5-1 in the OAA Red.
Southfield A&T improves to 13-1 and 6-0 in the OAA Red. Cheyenne McEvans had 23 points and Alexis Johnson had 18 to lead the Warriors.
