Boys Varsity Cross Country · Ravens Finish 9th at Oakland County Meet

Undeterred by two weather delays, the Royal Oak boys cross country team placed 9th at the 59th Annual Oakland County Championship at Kensington Metropark.  On a course with several sloppy sections due to morning rains, Royal Oak’s depth helped them to a top-10 finish, with the top 6 Ravens all finishing within 26 seconds of each other.  Junior Kemp Winkler was the top finisher for the Ravens, placing 43rd in a time of 17:56.3.    Sophomore Bryan Hanes was the second Royal Oak runner across the line, followed closely by teammates Adam Hill, Drew Meinecke, Tyler Cross, and Jack Rickle.  Royal Oak’s tight pack propelled the team to its best ever finish in the 13 year history of the Ravens.
